Matt Blank co-founded BB Living with his partners Sam Blank and Darryl Berger, Jr. Initially, BB Living focused on buying scattered single family rental properties in Phoenix, Arizona. In early 2012, BB Living changed strategies and purchased land to build ground up single family home communities. Over the past seven years, BB Living has grown significantly and recently formed a partnership with Toll Brothers, Inc., to expand the build to rent strategy nationally. Prior to forming BB Living, Matt was a Senior Equity Analyst at Long Pond Capital, LP, which is a long/short hedge fund focused on the real estate sector. At Long Pond, Matt dedicated the majority of his time to the multifamily and single-family housing market and investing in housing related ideas. Matt also previously worked at Morgan Stanley Real Estate where he focused on investment banking, private equity, and the capital markets. Matt graduated from the JD/MBA program at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the Wharton Business School. He graduated cum laude with a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.



Samuel A. Blank is a Co-Founder of Blank Property Group (“BPG”). Prior to forming BPG in 2011, he was a Vice President at RCG Longview, L.P., a New York City based real estate private equity fund that has placed more than $2 billion in the form of mezzanine, acquisition, construction, bridge and preferred equity investments. At RCG, Mr. Blank was responsible for originations, structuring, and underwriting, as well as all asset management functions. Mr. Blank began working in commercial real estate with BET Investments in Philadelphia in 2001, where he was responsible for retail acquisitions and leasing. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.



Darryl is the Founder & CEO of Berger Holdings. Berger Holdings is a sector and geographically diversified real estate investment company headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. The portfolio includes full service hotels, single-family rentals, multifamily rentals, land and parking assets in Arizona, Louisiana and New York. The Company also occasionally originates and purchases real estate loans. Within the portfolio Darryl helps manage over 500 employees. Berger Holdings is capitalized and expanding. Darryl received a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University.



As President of BB Living, Branden Lombardi coordinates the firm’s entitlement and land planning activities. Prior to BB Living, Mr. Lombardi was a principal with Aspire Real Estate Investments, a residential land investment company, as well as a consultant for Beazer Pre-Owned Homes and Rialto Capital Management. Mr. Lombardi began his career in the real estate industry working for the national land brokerage firm Land Advisors Organization, focusing on master-planned communities and large-scale development opportunities, notably the acquisition of Estrella Mountain Ranch—the largest real estate transaction in Arizona history. Mr. Lombardi received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Arizona State University. He founded the non-profit organization The Branden Lombardi Foundation at age 18, which focuses on the Arizona cancer community, and resides in Tempe, Arizona with his wife Andrea and their two children.
